AEB-2 #068

Back To AEB-2 Main Page..

This is AEB-2 #068, a fretted Series IV Scroll Bass in the classic red/black sunburst color scheme. This is very close to how most of the original Ampegs were painted, a cherry red with black around the edges. The back of the neck is amber-tinted clear, with red and black bands. The red on the body is transparent to show the black-filled grain of the ash. About half of the Scroll Basses I've built have been in this color scheme.
